A new, comprehensive PD solution is now available to help educators achieve their ultimate goal of positively impacting student achievement in the classroom. To complement the extensive technology training and tech integration projects already available to subscribers through its website, Atomic Learning adds these high-impact courses facilitated by live instructors.

Atomic Learning’s new Blended Learning courses are structured to provide more than the standard single day of instruction that rarely results in changes in classroom activity and inevitably is forgotten shortly after the closing comments. Instead, Atomic Learning’s Blended Learning incorporates opportunities for participants to coach and collaborate with other one another, learn new technology skills, and reflect on the experience over a 4-week period with the added advantage of a highly-qualified facilitator involved from beginning to end. All courses include two key objectives for participants: 1) Incorporate what they have learned into a project, lesson or classroom experience; 2) Schedule the date they will implement the project/lesson/experience in the classroom with their students.

Every Blended Learning course begins with assignments that help build the “how to” skills needed to understand the technology or topic being covered.  Participants are given two weeks to complete this self-paced work before the group meets together for a day of live instruction delivered on-site or via the web. During the two weeks following the live training day, participants will continue to work together and apply the skills and techniques they’ve learned. All courses include ample opportunity to collaborate on-line with other participants and with the Atomic Learning facilitator.

In order to align the appropriate solutions for maximum success, Atomic Learning specialists work with district administrators to clearly understand their PD and technology goals.  The initial collection of courses in Atomic Learning’s Blended Learning program feature 21st Century Skills & Technology Integration as well as an assortment of Assitive Technology courses.
