Moodle Training for Educators and Students

Atomic Learning recently added new content to the site which includes new tutorial series on Moodle™ focusing on topics for both instructors and students.

In the online tutorial series for the instructor, educators can learn about Moodle 1.9 - a course management system (CMS) - a free, open source software package designed to help them create effective online learning communities.

The student tutorial course guides students through the Moodle 2.0 interface. Students will learn how to work with blocks, messaging, wikis, forums and resources - all while interacting in the online Moodle learning community.

Atomic Learning Releases New Training Including GAME:IT and The Social and Interactive Web

Atomic Learning recently added new content to the site which includes new tutorials on Blackboard® 9.1, GAME:IT, Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion), and a fully updated Google Docs training series. Also included in this new content release are a new tech integration project on SMART Board Notebook 10 and a new workshop entitled The Social and Interactive Web: Today’s Web 2.0.

In the new Blackboard® series, students will learn how to navigate the application, retrieve and submit assignments, take tests online, and use features such as a calendar and address book.

Educators Benefit from School Improvement Network and Atomic Learning Collaboration

Districts across the U.S. are utilizing numerous resources to provide teachers with a well-rounded professional development program. While the use of multiple resources allows districts to provide comprehensive training, it creates a challenge for end users in accessing resources from various websites and managing multiple log-ins.

To begin addressing this challenge, Atomic Learning and School Improvement Network announce a collaboration to provide shared resources to guide educators on a path to technology-empowered learning.

With the release of Atomic Learning’s new Effective Online Teaching and Learning spotlight program and PD 360’s Technology Pedagogy training, the companies have come together to build a free educator forum on the topic where all educators can explore the topic of online teaching and learning.  This forum, which is freely available to all educators at http://www.pd360.com/index.cfm?joinGroup=16249 includes free resources and discussions such as:

New Content Includes Flash CS5, addition to iPad Series, and Effective Online Discussions Workshop
