Despite Favoring Online Learning, Survey Shows Reluctance to BYOD Programs

in Atomic Learning, BYOD, atomic mobilize, mobile learning, online learning, tech integration

A recent survey done by Blackboard, Inc. and Project Tomorrow® shows school district administrators endorse online classes and would even consider requiring students to take an online course prior to graduation.

However, despite growing momentum and interest in online learning, the survey results also showed principals had reluctance to bringing mobile technology into the classroom.

The Atomic Mobilize solution was developed for this very concern, to help bridge the technology-curriculum gap by sharing not only PD and planning tools, but also stories, examples and resources from fellow educators that illustrate how mobile devices can transform education and create highly personalized learning experiences for students.

Teachers do not have time to drive across town after school or on Saturdays to sit in a face-to-face skills training class that is totally disconnected to what they are teaching in class. By using Atomic Learning, teachers can access the support and/or training in the context of what they are about to do with their students. As an edtech blogger, Brad Flickinger has the opportunity to review several products and services each year. In his recent blog post, Flickinger shares why he likes Atomic Learning—and you should too.

I have had an Atomic Learning account for the past five years and it has saved my edtech-bacon a few more times than I would like to admit. I have never found anything that compares to it – in price or product...In the end we are all just looking for better ways to get the job of teaching done, for me Atomic Learning delivers.
