Edmodo members now have an opportunity to collaborate with their peers in the Atomic Learning Edmodo Community.

Edmodo is a social networking site for teachers and students--and so much more. This free resource provides teachers and students a safe environment to communicate, collaborate, and have fun. If educators are not familiar with Edmodo, they are invited to view the Atomic Learning Edmodo training series at http://www.atomiclearning.com/k12/en/edmodo where they'll learn how to sign up, how to set up an account, and how to use the many features, such as posting assignments and quizzes, populating a library of content, and even awarding recognition to students.

Give it a Try - Flip Professional Development!

A recent Web 2.0 Classroom blog post discussed one of the hottest topics at ISTE was flipping the classroom. Aside from that buzz, Steven Anderson shares the concept of flipping staff development in his article.

Anderson suggests using free social sites like Google Docs and Edmodo to start  your staff collaborating online. Atomic Learning has training for both of these (and more!) to train your staff efficiently and provide you more time for collaboration when you're face to face.

The new online training course from Atomic Learning begins with a tutorial on creating an account and installing Evernote on your device(s). Next, you'll be guided on how to create notes and add media on desktop clients, the Web service and on mobile devices. Atomic TechCore Supports Districts in Meeting Tech Components of Common Core Standards

Atomic Learning announced the early availability of the new Atomic TechCore solution at the ASCD Conference on Saturday in Philadelphia, PA. The Atomic TechCore solution was developed in response to district needs to address the technology components embedded in the Common Core State Standards.

Several states have not yet adopted the Common Core standards, but all students will be influenced through textbook changes, professional development planning and shared curriculum resources. For the first time, an eighth grade student in Tennessee will be required to learn the same curriculum as a student in California, Wisconsin, or Florida.

Educators Benefit from School Improvement Network and Atomic Learning Collaboration

Districts across the U.S. are utilizing numerous resources to provide teachers with a well-rounded professional development program. While the use of multiple resources allows districts to provide comprehensive training, it creates a challenge for end users in accessing resources from various websites and managing multiple log-ins.

To begin addressing this challenge, Atomic Learning and School Improvement Network announce a collaboration to provide shared resources to guide educators on a path to technology-empowered learning.
